Life in a post Twinkies world

I know what you're thinking. Oh. My. God. What am I going to do now without Twinkies.

Well, there's help. Allow me to recommend Little Debbies Swiss Cake Rolls, which are really tasty and cost under two bucks per dozen. Then there are the Twinkie look alikes that are actually better because they have a strip of yellow frosting along their length. Moon pies, of course.

Got any favorite junk "food" to add to the list?

Tip: put the cake rolls in the freezer for a while. They are best that way. Milk or coffee are not optional. You must have at least one of them.

Or, do what a guy in my office did.

Go to Sam's and fill up the back of the car with them. (I think he is a prepper)
He is 70 and retiring in a few months.
Kidded him that those Twinkies have a longer shelf life than he does.

I'll bet Twinkies come back; made somewhere else.

More of a Little Debbie man myself; Nutty Bars don't last long at our house. Figaroos are for race day.
Have a problem with Keebler Wedding Cookies; 1 bag = 1 serving.
The difference between people who do stuff and people who don't do stuff is that the people who do stuff do stuff.

there are already "off-brand" twinkies
available

the little debbie folks must be rolling
on the floor with glee.

as long as atkinson's is still in business
and makes chick-o-sticks and peanut butter
bars everything will be cool in my universe.

i hate that the hostess folks shot themselves
in the foot this time of year especially.
18 MINUTES.  . . . . . .

This post got me thinking about how ironic it is that the Twinkie factoy shut down at the same time marijuana is being legalized in some states. How is a toker with the munchies going to adapt to a post-Twinkies world?

edit: wasn't talking about me...

Gawd.  I keep thinking of poor Tallahassee.  Imagine... a Post-Apocalyptic world that doesn't even have Twinkies left to live for.  How much more cruelty could this world possibly produce??
