What's a Model 99C in 284 worth?
« on: February 11, 2004, 11:50:59 AM »
Hey you experts out there.  I have a line on a Model  99C in 284 that's in good shape.  Wood has just a few dings and the metal is about 90%.  No sign of damage. The clip is with the rifle and shows only minor wear.  Any idea of a good purchase price?

If it were me I would`nt try to steal the gun just get it. There are no more 99s and never were many 284s. Its a great caliber in a great gun. I have a couple of rifles that I paid too much for. Turned out to be the best deals of my life in the long run. Best of luck. POW

Turkeyfeather - Prince of Wales is right! Grab it and don't look back! I know of 3 people on the old Marlin Talk who were searching for one in .284!  If it's what you want grab it if not please let me know and I'll pass the information on to them! Thanks! CEJ..
If I can't take my rifles with me, I don't want to go!

From what I've seen at the gun shows the 284's are going for 600 on up.  Had one once and very sorry I let it go.  Great rifles.
