« on: November 17, 2012, 06:37:37 AM »
Where us members can talk about it,   new members to surplus military guns can learn about it,   Everyone can share info on one surplus military gun each month.  Whatsa say??
I would think a post to kick it off is what to look for when your buying a used surplus military gun (sticky). Mikey?

Sounds good to me.  Lots of folks can use some decent advice on what to look for when purchasing a mil-surp.  Any thoughts on which rifle or pistol you might like to start with??

Just hope it doesnt start me to 'buying a mil-surp of the month' too........... :P
For your consideration, if I may:
Pick a point in history you are attracted to
Pick one , max two, arms of the period
Research and take notes that you can carry with you of what to look, and look out, for
Beware you own foibles; ie, do you tend to be impulsive, sometimes beyond reason
If something looks wrong, it probably is
Dont buy junk
