I stopped ata Waldenbook store today. I was looking for the new Hodgdon Annual Reloading Manual, and thought they might have it in their magazine section. To my surprise they didn't have one gun or shooting type magazine there. I asked at the counter why no gun magazines and was told that the management probably thought they were too violent, and didn't want to appear to support violence. When I pointed out that most of the novels they sell, are filled with violence, they said it was just a management decission. Well I made a decission to, not to shop there again.

Dont know their corporate stance, but Borders Books has what you are looking for, and about the best shooting magazine and hardback selection I have found  in a mainstream book store. Check them out if they are in your area. I noticed the couple of hunting mags Waldenbooks had dissappeared a while ago.

Also remember that there is no harm in complimenting the manger on a good selection of books/magazines and thanking them for carrying what you need.  Even if you are not purchasing something at that time.
