  As for Germany, a small point.  Though the Protestant Reformation definitely began there, I believe that it remains primarily Catholic to this day.

   First off..Christians aren't perfect..they are just forgiven...  Most of them do try to live a Christ like life.  Of course, there are Christians and "Christians"..    I would like to hear/share the testimony of salvation from Manny...  Oh, wait a minute..Manny didn't say he IS a Christian..he said he "associated" with them....
  The glass can be either half empty or half full..depending upon the perspective you choose to observe from.  I suppose I could say that I have associated with Freemasons for 57 years..and their group are fakes; but that leaves me with 4 questions;

1) How many have I known ..and is it a true representative example?
 
2) Not being a freemason and not knowing a thing about their organization..from what do I form my opinion?
 
3) Who am I to judge them, am I of a superior quality and intellect to do so?

And most people don't realize, at times how much dedication has to go into being a true Christian.

      OK my friend, let's go back a mere 20 years.
 
     Serbia is an overwhelmingly white and Christian country.  And guess what, just 20 years ago, these Christians decided to do some ethnic cleansing.  So, over a period of about a year, they rounded up and massacred tens of thousands of muslims (Bosnians), burying them in mass graves.  Their charitable acts also included rape, mutilation and torture, and their victims included women and children as well.
 
    It was so bad, that the UN was forced to step in and actually invade with ground troops.  When order could not be restored quickly, the UN (primarily through US airstrikes) was forced to bomb Serbia back into the 19th century to get them to stop these murders.
 
     Sorry, but that's the way it goes.

Personal insult aside; That's right_ _ it didn't exist.... So why are you so entralled with the OT and those times and draw upon it for your liturgy? Clearly, most evangelicals are more entralled with the OT then the NT, hellbent for creating and idol of israel, and less interested and living the times of Christ. Hopefully some day, concerning 'ignorant' christians such as yourself, Christianity will become less judacized and re-Christianized, at least we can pray for that.

   You believe in "intellectual honesty"...good!  I was talking about a barbaric event of the past week...and how these people were murdered without a trial..  Basically what you are doing is trying to defend murderous acts by citing other such brutal acts in history.  What makes you think anyone here approves of any of those acts of barbarism?
