New 17HM2
« on: November 23, 2012, 09:15:54 AM »
I was looking through gunbroker about 10 days ago and learned you can narrow your search to single shot rifles. I was going through them and found one with the title of "New England Sportster" only for $110 with a buy it now for $125. The listing described it as a 17 HMR but they had a couple of close up pictures and the barrel said 17 MACH 2. I hit the buy it now and it's been like Christmas waiting for it to show up at my dealer. I thought they might have used a "stock" picture and I would have been fine if it was a 17 HMR. I know I could have contacted them and asked specifically but I decided to wait and see.

I just got home from my dealer and it is indeed a Mach 2. After shipping and transfer fees I'm into it for $179. It is in like new condition as was described in the auction. Now I need to scope it up and see how it shoots. Just sharing my success story and maybe someone else can use this search method to find a poorly advertised or mislabeled deal.
