I love the way the BC looks. But after handling one of the older Gardner Mass. ones, I went with the standard Handi configuration. For whatever reasons the Handi fits me better.

That's been a real change of heart since I got back into firearms. Have always preferred the straight grips vrs. pistol grip for looks... but have found a pistol grip just points better for me with less fuss.  Didn't really want that to be true, but for me, it is.

Other than that... yeah I really liked the fit and finish of the Gardner BC I was looking at. Finish was much nicer the the Illion gun I ended up with. But happy either way.

The usual dilemma. Would really like one of each! LOL!

Dinny, Marion and Robert Rogers were my heroes growing up.  Too bad their Rangers didn't have BCs ::)

Love mine.. Would be the last gun I sold if they all had to go.. I shoot mine with 35gr of 3031 and a 300gr lead bullet... It is an old Trapdoor load I found.. Great for plinking and small deer.. Good luck

form and function.  i always thought it was a nice *looking* rifle, and it's every bit as good a shootin' rifle.  a pretty darned big bang for the buckeroos.

Get a BC
Get a std. Handi, PW or Syn, your choice
Get an UH
not necessarily in the above order, of course; and you will have in all three about what one Italian repro of a Sharps or Roller costs now.
