Thompson Scout Rifle/Pistols
« on: November 27, 2012, 11:05:46 PM »
Does anyone know if Thompson ever made a 45 cal SCOUR RIFLE?  I have a 45 cal pistol.  I would really like to know any information about the 'Texas' Scout Rifles.  If they ever made one in 45 cal as well.  I have a 50 Cal. Rifle, and it has served me very well.  I played around with the nipple...had one machined to accept the musket cap, another to open up the fire hole...and I am thinking of having one made without the 'holes' on the sides.
Any thoughts or helpful information of these three thoughts?  Any appreciated!
Jim

I can't say for sure, but several years ago my neighbor told me of a pair of Scout muzzleloaders available at a pawn shop. I hot-footed it down there only to find out they were both over priced and pretty rusted up. If memory (iffy at best) serves me right they were both .45 caliber.

Should have read original thread better, you were looking for a .45 cal Scout, I found a .50 cal Scout on guns america. Guess that doesn't help you. Sorry :-[
