Just pick up one of these bad boys in 40 Simth, love the DAK, sweet shooting. Only thing better is when I added Crimson Trace grips.
Anybody else like this model?

I carried one for years as a uniform duty weapon, first in 9MM and then later in .40 S&W. I found it to be a 100% reliable and extremely accurate firearm. Nothing more could have been asked of a firearm that your life and the lives of others depended on.
The "job" is currently transitioning from the Sig P226 .40 to .45 ACP uniform carry guns. I applaud the change and like the switch from .40 S&W to .45 ACP for LEO work. I still carry occaisonally for my retired job as an investigator working with the district courts for the state and my carry guns switch from .40 S&W, to .45 ACP, to a .22LR, the same one I sometimes carried while working undercover drugs many years ago as a young Trooper. If I had to carry a Sig P226 in .40 S&W into any just about any situation, with the proper ammunition I would feel completely comfortable and confident with it, it is truly a great gun. Congratulations on getting it, now shoot it, become competent with it, and enjoy it....<><... :)

I have a P226 in .357 Sig. It is truly a classic and one of the best
self defense guns ever made.

I have owned both a 220 and a 226. Excellent examples of engineering and design. Both guns were 100% reliable, and plenty accurate. Both are gone now due to the ergonomics. They just didn't come on target instinctively for me, and I hated the trigger. As a result, I didn't shoot them well unless I concentrated hard on grip and trigger control. As a result, my split times were really slow. It's more of a shooter problem than an equipment one. Anyway, it's a fine piece of engineering. Enjoy!
