I have a jackel crossbow, far more powerful than my 60# compound bow. Takes a lot longer to cock and reload. I have to use a cocking rope to pull the string back and lock it, So I have to put the end on the ground, foot in stirrup, stretch rope across the back of the bow in a groove, hook two small hooks on the string, pull the handles up till the bow string locks in place, remove the cocking rope, place bolt on shelf, release automatic safety, raise to shoulder, aim, and fire. This is not a rapid process. Now the bolt would hardly slow down going through a piece of 1/2" plywood. But a desk top would probably stop it.
The schools for the last 25 years have been teaching our kids to be pacifist, it's up to us as parents to see that our kids do not grow up with that attitude. This brings up a story, about when Sky was in day care, about the age of two or three. But I'll save it for another time. Rog
