No need for weapons intended for police or military, he says, clarifying his views.  That is not needed by little old ladies protecting themselves.  This is opinion of a sportscaster.

Bill Kristol, editor of The Weekly Standard, said the same thing.  They are both Jewish.  What else is new?   ???
Study after study has shown how dangerous distracted driving is yet people continue to talk on their cell phones while driving. Driving in the U.S. requires your full attention. Many states and countries have made it illegal to use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and the federal government should follow their lead. Banning the use of cell phones while driving would have the added benefit of making the no-texting law enforceable.

Let's see - the Police use handguns, shotguns, rifles and carbines. Doesn't leave much available to the public. I guess Bob is okay with muzzleloaders and single shot long guns...

Just another lefty with no grasp on the issue. Probably why they didn't report on the US Olympic gold medalists in the shooting sports.

Ted Nugent To Bob Costas: Get A Clue    Ted Nugent (File)    (December 4, 2012)—Bob Costas’ “Sunday Night Football” halftime commentary on handguns and violence in the wake of the murder-suicide involving Kansas City Chief’s linebacker Jovan Belcher triggered a Twitter storm involving, among others, transplanted Central Texas rocker and outdoorsman Ted Nugent.
“We thought Bob Costas was smarter than that. Only fools blame tools instead of human failings. Shame Bob,” Nugent tweeted Monday.
"Hey Bob Costas we all kno (sic) that obesity is a direct result of the proliferation of spoons and forks. Get a clue,” Nugent tweeted.
“BobCostas has clearly lost his mind. Inanimate objects are the problem not murderers. Brilliant

This pos needs the Jimmy the Greek treatment. Shunning by the sportsman community. I cannot believe there are not enough hunting and shooting, sports fans out here to get this waste of opinion fired.

I have made my opinion known have you?

I called syndicated radio hosts Mike and Mike to sound off.

1.)  Mr. Costas has the right to take "his show" where he wants.  There are folks in his "food chain" that may disagree.
2.)  Sunday Night Football is not the Bully Pulpit for gun control, UNLESS an equal opportunity is provided on the next Sunday Night Football for a 90-second REBUTTAL.
3.)  The words expressed were not Costas', but Jason Whitlock's, a writer in whom Costas apparently agrees.
4.)  The assertion that "... if he didn't possess/own a gun, he and Kasandra Perkins would both be alive today ... " is as ludicrous as "A spoon made Rosie O'Donnell fat."
5.)  You can't fix Stupid.

Is that what it's really about?  Broadcasters sincerely care about our safety and it's about "tools vs humans"?  Is that what gets Dianne Feinstein up in the morning to pass a new gun control law?  Is it because she cares so dearly about us?  To fix a problem you must first identify correctly what is the problem.
