Mossberg MVP pleasant surprise

I saw one of these rifles and was interested. I saw it again Saturday at the show, needless to say it followed me home.

Neat concept, short heavy barrel and uses AR mags. Oh! chamber is 5.56 Nato.

I mounted up a scope and headed to the range with a few boxes of Privi .223 55gr. soft points.

It shot great, trigger is nice and getting smoother from cycling and cleaning/lube.

I liked it so well I brought it home and put a new Zeiss 3-9x40 on it. If it is going to shoot that well it deserves better glass.

Might be more accurate firing the 5.56 NATO.

Might be, but I have several thousand rounds of the Privi. The Privi was going around .7", after some barrel break-in.

Good to know.  Had been considering one of these.  I've been impressed with all the Mossberg bolts I've tried so far.  8)
