Romney rejoins Mariott corporate board - Why am I not surprised

Previously Romney served on the Marriott board of directors of for several years. While chairman of the Marriott audit committee he assisted in directing the companies investment in a massive tax shelter called Son of Boss. After investing, Marriott wrote off 70 million dollars of nonexistent losses.

The IRS challenged this tax shelter and the courts ruled the tax avoidance scheme was a pure fiction and illegal. Marriott eventually paid hundreds of millions in IRS penalties and fines for it illegal tax avoidance scheme.

Makes no sense! Why would they hire him back if he cost them "hundreds of millions"? Unless of course Marriott is desperate to pour money into expanding our new socialist system ::)

So he invested in a product that was marketed by lawyers and accountants . 70 million how about the ones up to 500 million. So with your thinking if you buy a defective product its your fault not the builder .  ::)  What CEO wouldn't try to increase profit ?

scootrd gives everything he makes to the government, so why shouldn't Marriott want to do the same.

i was pretty proud of ole mitt myself.after a tough year or two on the trail, he didnt mess around just got right back in the job force.didnt apply for unemployment or lay around on his mothers couch or nuttin!

The TPTB 1% did get their man in POTUS. Do you really believe that if the all powerful Ilumminati or the Bilderburgs or the Tri Lateral Commision or who ever it is that you consider to be "The TPTB 1%" wanted Romney as POTUS, would they be allowing Obama to sit in the oval office right now? ::)

And to the OP -if you think Obama doesn't have money in tax shelters you have been standing out in the sun too long...Oh but wait he is a democrat so shielding money from the oppressive tax machine he helped create is perfectly honorable and is not an issue.
