Spanky, I agree with you. People should take forums in the spirit in which they are intended--voice your opinion. If you don't agree with something someone has said, fine disagree with the post but do not verbally attack someone personally just because you don't agree with them. Frankly, all one is doing is showing their ignorance. I remember the time I was called a troll. I didn't post for several months and then I got to thinking that I did nothing wrong but post my opinion. I've had several posts deleted that had nothing to do personally with anyone. I assumed the moderator didn't like what I said, which I feel was unfair.
I've had the same done to my comments, in the Truth, Lies, and Conspiracy Theories forum. The old moderator who I won't name
, didn't like my challenging his lies. There was no name calling on my part, I just questioned his liberal, and religious biases, with facts. Finally GB himself, got involved, and told the old moderator, that he was wrong to delete my posts, and re-posted my comments in a different thread. The old moderator quit in a hissy fit. Now it's being moderated by someone else. I try not to comment on threads started by that particular poster, but sometimes, it gets to be too much. You just can't ignore blatant lies about people and live with yourself.
