30/30 "Mustang"
« on: December 05, 2012, 07:34:02 AM »
Anybody out there have one of these ? They came out in 1964 @ $45.75 they had the gold trigger and gold hammer also the bbl markings were filled with gold. Broach rifled 22" bbl that had the Lyman #16 folding sight. Just happened to see an ad for them in an old issue of Shooting Times mag. I guess one of the ? I have on these does it actually say Mustang on the frame or bbl anywhere? Kurt

You might try posting this on the H&R Collectable  forum here. Bet they will have some history on it .

Unfortunately, two of our most knowledgable H&R Historians have passed away in the last few months, Jim Hauff and Jim Ritchie, may they rest in peace,  those we still have read and post here too, unlike the Jim's that only participated there.  :(

Tim,I was not aware that Jim Hauff has passed away.He was a frequent and valuable poster on my forum,Gun Collector's Forum. He helped a lot of people with his vast knowledge.
He will be missed.
