considerng a dan wesson...
« on: February 12, 2004, 01:42:23 PM »
my dealer has 2 357's in the shop.  one with a 4 inch barrel and the other with a 6" bbl.  either one about $300.  both seem new, no wear marks.  what do you guys think of the pros and cons of dan wesson guns?

Dan Wesson makes very good and strong handguns....you won't be disappointed by buying either one or both..............
life is too short to spend it with an ugly gun....

357 DW

I am presuming these DW's are in good operating condition.  If so, you won't get a better 357 for $300.  Good as the DW revolvers are, they are not so widely appreciated as they should be, and in some areas have a poor resale value.  In this case that is working to your advantage since you are buying a used one.

The Dan Wesson is simply the most accurate and strongest double action revolver available.  DW dominated silhoutte shooting for a number of years.  Generally 7 out of the top 10 would be DW's.

I'd take the six inch one but that's a personal preference.
