My 2000th Post!
« on: December 07, 2012, 05:35:20 AM »
This is my 2000th post.  Just reminiscing here.  I joined in 2009.  I look here everyday.  I have learned far more here than in any book I have on artillery.
My thanks to the founders and the contributors to this board.  I feel I have made friends here though I have not met but one of you.
Just for fun, here are the first two threads I started showing off my wooden guns.
Thanks for welcoming me into this group of fellow enthusiast.

Holy guacamole! If I was standing next to you, I'd give ya a bear hug.
RIP John. While on vacation July 4th 2013 in northern Wisconsin, he was ATVing with family and pulled ahead of everyone and took off at break-neck speed without a helmet. He lost control.....hit a tree....and the tree won.  He died instantly.

The one thing that you can almost always rely on research leading to, is more research.

I have had the pleasure of visiting Zulu's house a few times. It is "cannon heaven", and he couldn't be a nicer host.

I, too, have been blessed with Michael's acquaintence, and unfortunately my life's been in such turmoil it's been difficult to stay in contact.  Hopefully the light I see at the end of my economic tunnel isn't another oncoming train. LOL...  So far, if me and the Mrs can make it through December there'll be far brighter days ahead this spring.  I'm hoping to have opportunity to visit my Son and our grand daughters living in San Antonio this spring and will do everything in my power to arrange & make a personal visit with Michael while I'm in State... if he'll even have me over after drop'n off the vine like I did early last Summer, or was it last Spring... or fall???  Geeze, I honestly can't remember.  Forgive me, Michael..  :-\
