working smarter, not harder
« on: December 08, 2012, 04:22:51 AM »
I got a large doe this year and used my winch to load her. I carry a rope, a pulley, and a winch line extention to get deer out. I tied my canteen to the rope and got the rope over a large branch, ran the winch line through the pulley, hoisted the pulley up, and tied off the rope. I hooked the deer to the winch line, raised her up, swung her onto the rack, and strapped her down. Put up my gear and hit the trail.
