Crossbow for my wife

I was looking to get my wife a crossbow so that she can bow hunt with me.   I was on Cabelas web site and saw the Parker Challenger.  Looks to be a good size for her and its only 5.5 pounds.  But I dont want to get something that is "No Good" after 25 yards.  I really dont want to spend more than 400 of 500 Bucks.  Any advise?? THANKS!!

Your poll doesn't give any choices besides a number which is for what ??
 
I would choose a reflex over a compound anytime for the simplicity and weight.
