I cancelled a shorty project!#@!*#!

I traded for an unfired 12ga USH Lite barrel so I could chop it to 18.5".  I fit it to a SB1, added Green Camo Lam. MC stock set and a red dot (for now - ran out of quad lock rings again) and I like the way it looks, carries and shoulders.  On Tuesday morning I get to find out how it recoils with some 1 11/16 oz full bore slugs over a bunch blue dot. :o   I am going to keep my hacksaw on standby just it case it doesn't shot well with that super long 24" barrel. ::)

It stays at 24" (for now anyway ::) ) as it shot well with some 15 year old Remington Copper Solids and a bunch of Lyman 525 g saboted handloads.  The recoil from these slugs wasn't that bad (copper solids @ 1 3/16 oz @ 1500 fps, not sure of the lyman velocity), no where near what I was expecting.  I Didn't get to try the 1 11/16 Fullbore slugs because I forgot to buy 12ga gas seals. :-[   I am fairly certain I will get the recoil I am expecting from the FullBore slugs. ;D

Sounds like a nice little gun; I think I'd like the way it would swing (after all, it is supposed to be a 'longgun' not a 'Buntline Spl.'  ;) ).
BTW, that 'long' 24" is the same as my 'Buck' barrel on Ol' Ugly Overkill'; still seems a little stubby to me.........
