Alphabet news ignores attack on Fox news reporter.

ABC, NBC and CBS ignore union thugs' attack on Fox News contributor  By Dan Gainor
Published December 12, 2012
FoxNews.com      It’s a sad day for American TV journalism when The Huffington Post is a more honest news outlet than ABC, CBS or NBC. On Tuesday, after Michigan union protests escalated into violence, HuffPo led with several stories, including one headlined: “Fox News Contributor Punched.”

That story was about how Fox News contributor Steven Crowder and others were attacked by union thugs during the protest against the new “right-to-work” law. ABC, CBS and NBC covered the protests but only ABC made mention of police having to deal with protesters. None of them mentioned the attack on Crowder or showed the videos of that attack and the thugs tearing down a tent with people in it, both widely available on the Internet hours before the evening news show broadcast. No network quoted Teamsters head Jimmy Hoffa predicting “civil war” between lawmakers and union members.

Network reporters don’t want to show union thugs and conservative victims, especially anyone connected to Fox News. That doesn’t fit with their world view.

NBC anchor Brian Williams referred to it all meekly as “a boisterous day in the state capital.”
According to The Detroit Free Press, three people were arrested and “Capt. Harold Love of the Michigan State Police confirmed police used pepper spray on at least one demonstrator.” The article added that the union protesters “tore down a tent being occupied by Americans for Prosperity, a pro right-to-work group,” while chanting “Tear it down, tear it down.”

On broadcast news, the best they could all agree on was that the union thugs were some form of “angry.” On CBS “Evening News,” correspondent Elaine Quijano explained, “Union workers from across Michigan and other states voiced their anger at the Michigan capital.”
ABC’s “World News with Diane Sawyer” correspondent Alex Perez did slightly hint at the escalation, but showed nothing at all scary. “The anger boiling over, officers turning to pepper spray to control the crowd, at last 10,000 deep,” he told viewers as one man was shown rubbing his eyes. Anchor Sawyer referred to the law as one that supporters “believe could be an ominous sign for unions and worker paychecks everywhere.”
NBC “Nightly News” mentioned that there were at least police there at the protest, as correspondent Ron Mott admitted protesters operated under the “watchful gaze of police, some in riot gear.”
Even The Washington Post mentioned that “Former Rep. Mark Schauer (D-Mich.) was hit with pepper spray while protesting ‘right to work/ legislation outside the Michigan state capitol on Wednesday.”

None of that appeared on the evening news shows. That’s how reporters can control an agenda. Had journalists’ favorite villain the Tea Partiers beaten a liberal commentator, it would have led every newscast and would be talked about for days. Nor did they want to admit that union leadership was making threats and union thugs were carrying them out in vile and violent fashion.

But network reporters don’t want to show union thugs and conservative victims, especially anyone connected to Fox News. That doesn’t fit with their world view. Ain’t that a punch in the head – or several in Crowder’s case?

I saw that.  Typical union thugs.   Have to have somebody to get a job for them, unable to do it themselves.

So.......you think that excuses assaulting a reporter? And you have unimpeachable proof of this "demonizing and pilloring"?

I guess if one doesn't like a fox news reporter this kind of action is justifiable, and if the others that hate fox news,  are not near by to get their licks in they can applaud.

Its usually truth being spoken that causes this kind of reaction.

I heard him saying that on Hannity. Talking it up after the fact, but should have done something about it at the time more than whining like a little girl.

I think the reporter did exactly the right thing. He kept his cool under fire. It kind of tells something about his character.
Actually he is giving the union thug a free out. Just meet him in the ring. He was acting like a real tough guy in the street, so he shouldn't really have any worries about a fight with gloves on. If not then Crowder has every right to press charges for the attack. The union thug got a good deal he has two choices. Maybe its he is afraid that he will get his butt kicked in the ring. If we are placing bets, I'll take Crowder. It would not surprise me at the least if Crowder knows a little mma.

I would debate letting someone beat on you as doing the right thing. But at any rate running your mouth after the fact seams to make him a bit more of a nancy boy to me anyhow. What's the point of learning any form of self defense just to become a punching bag and do nothing. That's a major problem with todays coddled society today. Let everyone run you over and let the professionals take care of it. Then complain when they can't be there the instant it happens. Folks that stand up for themselves generally don't get ran over as much as those that cower. Sorry not wanting to argue with you DDZ. I can care less about the situation. Just thought it was funny this putts was getting some stones on the radio program, but when it mattered they must have been in his wife's purse.

Hey, not arguing, just discussing. Did Crowder really have anything to gain by fighting back surrounded by a bunch of union thugs just looking for someone to contest them. Looked like there was quite a few that were ready for a fight. I'm sure it wouldn't have looked to good either, a Fox news reporter fighting with one of the protesters. I still say he kept his cool and did the right thing by not fighting back in that arena he was in. It didn't appear he was in much danger either.
 If Crowder was a coward I doubt he would offer up a mma style fight. From what I have seen of MMA fights, they can be brutal. Many times the coward is the one that gets angry, and lashes out from mere words spoken. If the union guy has any stones he will agree to settle it in the ring.
You have a good day also bugflipper. May peace be with you.

he was smart to not take on a whole crowd of union thugs, he might have gotten stomped to death.  because it's well known that they are more like a clan of hyenas than grown men.

LOL, and you, being a tough guy would have taken on the whole mob?  that doesn't show rational thinking.

I saw a mob telling the guy to stop, not a mob joining in while the guy was trying to hit him. Previous to that I also saw the reporter sticking his nose where it didn't belong when it looked like two guys were about to get into it. Then after they got the first guy off of him (the mob). A second guy sucker punches him as he is making his exit after someone spots him with a concealed gun.
 Nothing about being a tough guy. It's fine he got whooped. Not fine for him to have a testosterone dump at the end of his spot on Hannity claiming what he would do when he had his opportunity and chose flight instead of fight but wants to act tough after it's over.  :D

It's a reporters job to stick his nose into places.  otherwise we would have to rely on you for our news.
he was asking some tough questions that the union thugs couldn't answer.  and searching for truth sometimes leads to riots or worse.
they destroyed private property, endangered the lives of the elderly, made racial slurs, so they were quite capable of killing or maiming a reporter.

Tough guy reporter went in there looking for trouble, found it, and is now crying about it.  You go looking for it, you usually find it.  I don't support most of what the Unions stand for anymore, but you gotta give them a little respect when they are in a mob setting and all feeding off each others anger.

Why the big fuss by the unions? All that was done was give workers a choice. Workers are free from being forced to pay union dues. I know when I started with the company I work for I asked if I had to join the union in place, and pay dues. The answer was yes you do, and you do. Would have been nice to save that 600 plus dollars a year for myself, instead of handing it over to a union that tells the company what I should make. I have always felt that with out the union, I would be making more money.

  Sorry, jdp;
   Perhaps I misunderstand the part of your statement I highlighted in blue above.  Do you really mean that people who act like savages in a mob scene should be respected ?  I certainly have to disagree if that is what you REALLY meant.
   IMO..Anyone who acts like an idiot because they think they will be covered by the "mob excuse"...deserves nothing but distain and disrespect .
    Bugflipper;
    As far as the clown who attacked Crowder at the mob scene; it is a good thing Crowder kept his cool.  If Crowder had put the hurt on him in a serious way..one can almost see how the "alphabet networks" would have handled it! ... Just the same way they tried to paint the Tea Party as racist, angry, and every other lie ..but it didn't stick.
   I am pleased that Crowder put out the challenge..now that tough union thug can prove his mettle..  Now, they both can "put up or shut up"..betcha the thug doesn't show..   Of course. perhaps the thug might be wiser to take his whipping in the ring,... rather than in court.

TM;
  I've done the research..and I am well aware that he is a comedian..  What would the leftie media say if some right winger tried to punch David Letterman out?

     He is genuinely funny, as seen in this Israeli/Arab explanation;
     http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VGaXIhT3SRI

      ...And he shows how to find humor in the truth; albeit, painful truth;
  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Ge5hB6JLfY

      Say, has anyone heard anything about the union thug accepting crowder's invitation?  Kinda just as I thought; I guess he won't show!
