Today I Cried
« on: December 14, 2012, 01:37:05 PM »
my partner just came home and informed me of the tragedy in Connecticut. I immediately went to google news. How did this happen? This school had a double door system. You had to be buzzed in after showing ID. This young man had no business in that school. It was known his mother, a teacher in that school, was NOT at school today.

WHY WAS HE ALLOWED INTO THAT SCHOOL?

it is a very sad event. info is apparently sketchy, i heard he killed his dad at the house then went to the school and killed his mom and a bunch of kids and other people.i dont know what actually happened, we will find out in a few days when they get it sorted out.the grief those children and their parents feel is unreal.WHY DOES THIS KEEP HAPPENING? are there so many mentally ill people in this country?its not about how he got into the school its about why would someone do this?who kills little kids?im just totally blown away.are we so sick as a society that we have to gaurd our children with gun toteing security??? if thats the case i need to bring my kids bak home and teach them how to defend themselves with firearms.and homeschool them as well to the point they are basically a small para milatary force?

I cannot imagine anything worse as a parent, and esp. at Christmas time.

WHY WAS HE ALLOWED INTO THAT SCHOOL?

He was only 20 years old and I read he graduated from that town's high school.  If the family had lived there for many years and his mom  had worked at the school during that time they knew him.  Probably watched him grow up.  Unless we learn something else they simply had no reason to not let him in, they knew him.

Yes, it's a tragedy.  No parent should ever have to bury a child.  It's time we did something about these senseless tragedies.

I am completely amazed that no one goes after  congress for having these "gun free zones" established and maintained.  We never had school shootings until congress established these safe killing zones for the deranged.  My God!  Couldn't their own school principal  be trusted with a gun?   Who keeps staff and children safe in these gun free zones?  Apparently no one.   It's high time that the schools took action to protect the children by allowing qualified staff to be armed.  How many children have to die before congress undoes their mess?

Yes, I know teachers should not have to be armed.  Neither should we, in a perfect world, but look how the violent crime rate has dropped in the states that allow concealed carry.  You don't have to be a rocket scientist to figure it out.  My son is a school principal and has a concealed carry license.  He can excercise his 2A. rights everywhere but at his job.  Congress won't let him!
Vote them all out, EVERY election!

Does anyone remember the scene from "Quigley Down Under" showing the aborigines lined up on the skyline as far as you could see?   That needs to be US!

I cannot believe.....
I could never imagine....

This is heard often from people involved, TV talking heads, politicians etc.

Society as whole had best pull its head out of its buttocks and realize this iw not odd, this is the nature of man.
Society used to acknowledge that and deal with it as a whole but now people act as if Peter Pan Never-land is real.
NOTHING, and I mean nothing, surprizes or shocks me emotionally anymore, nor has it for decades.
Sadness is a natural state, but nowadays people mourn, some never stop, till it becomes self-pity.

Death used to be part of life. Now those who control our society act as if it is optional.

Is there anything worse than this, yes.
Parents whose children disappear and are never found dead or alive, THAT is a living hell.

I have sent 2 emails to the white house today. I have called shame upon those who use this tragedy for political gain. I also mentioned the man in China who, with a knife, injured at least 42 and killed at least 20. This very thing could have happened today here. He could have done the very same thing with a knife because our schools are TARGET RICH ENVIRONMENTS.  We NEED DEFENDERS at schools, not metal detectors and GUN FREE ZONE signs. Those signs just tell satans minions that they are safe to attack schools.

The act of evil that occurred on Friday 12-14-12 is so...evil I just cannot comprehend it.  My heart and mind are numb at the thought that such an act could be done by a human...killing his own mother, and then the children...pure evil

I just received an email from the Front Sight shooting school. They have offered to train 3 teachers from EVERY school in the country! Now that is putting your money where your mouth is. This is exactly what is needed. ARMED GUARDS! This is what has been needed all along. Write to your senate and congress critters. They are to blame for this tragedy. We need armed guards not 'gun free zone' signs.
