For several years I hunted with a T/C Contender in .357/.44 Bain&Davis.  Here are a couple of the old pics.

Nice pictures Swampy,  :) why did you give up the contender pistol for hunting? I used to hunt a lot with handguns. Revolvers as well as contenders. But the strength & feeling as well as pain in my hands forced me to give that up.  :o
My eyesight now is making it hard for me to hunt even with a scoped rifle anymore. I'm using shotguns more than I used to. My friend that I hunt with says shotguns are no good but I know the truth is that just like bow hunting you just need to get closer than with a rifle.  ;) after all we killed deer and even elk with bows in NM.

You have a Merry Christmas Swampy.

I got into living history and switched to flintlocks for about 10 years.  I plan on hunting with my new Contender as soon as I get healed up.  I just saw on the 24 hour campfire where a fellow's 98 year old uncle had killed a nice trophy elk.  I'll keep at it as long as the good Lord will help me get after 'em.  God Bless and Merry Christmas!

Very cool pics indeed.
I have been very fortunate to take a my fair share of Whitetail Deer over the years with Contender Handguns but all have been chambered for Rifle Type Cartridges.
With the tendionits in my hands and my eyesight it is getting harder for me to hunt with Handguns and using Handgun Scopes but I hope to continue for years to come.
Merry Christmas

didn't see any archery pictures.
you need to rectify that when you
get back in condition.
easier on the ears too.
