NEF Versa Pack 22/410 youth combo question

Just picked this gun up because I thought 130 dollars wasn't to bad just wondering what if any barrels I can get for that Frame thanks.

None from H&R as an accessory barrel if it's a factory VP,  as far as I know they won't fit any barrels to a VP frame, but it wouldn't hurt to call and ask in case they've changed their policy, they'll need the frame serial number. As for fitting your own barrels, shotgun and low pressure chamberings will work, 357 and 44 mag, Hornet, 30-30, 45-70 trapdoor for examples.

Thanks tim.  Would a regular 45-70 barrel other then the trapdoor be a low pressure barrel?

Trapdoor is the load level, there are three 45-70 load ranges; trapdoor, levergun and modern rifle,  in this application it applies to any 45-70 barrel used on the cast iron frame.

What's the best way to tell if my frame is a SS-1 the serial is HX 211716

It's probably best to call them. I do see that they only offer the 22WMR, 22LR and 17HMR barrels through the BAP for SS-1 frames.

The VP frame is a centerfire SB1 frame, the SS1 frame is a rimfire only frame. The VP 22Lr barrel has an offset bore to work on the centerfire frame.

You got a great buy on the VP set.  As far as barrels are concerned, I use the rule that what barrels can be used on a SB1 frame will work on a VP frame.  Basically what Tim said:

The only other barrel that I can think of that can be used on the VP frame is the 50Cal. Huntsman barrel.

Just curious, did your combo come with the black H&R carrying case?  Enjoy the gun, you'll find the 22LR barrel is really accurate.

i have been looking for a 22 sportster for some time all i have seen is rossie's one will eventually show up. or maybe get my 17 fitted with a barrel i shoot 22's alot my wife and i compete a lot.
