I was banned on the fireline fourm because i posted a couple links to petitions to sign to let people know your thoughts on future gun control issues. I posted it and the post was locked and i told the moderator that i couldnt see any logical reason that he would lock a post like that. Ive chuckled in the past at that same moderator closing posts just because he didnt agree with someones opinion. Kind of comical how big some peoples egos are!! Sure no loss to me. I kind of feel like an outlaw as its the first time ive ever been banned from a fourm!

I find myself in good company. I was booted from the 1911 forum for writing "Kalifornication". Funny thing is there is a cable tv program from there called of all things, Californication. I threw in the 'K' since they are strongly socialist bordering on kommunist.

im a moderator myself here. I dont feel its my place to delete a post unless its vulgar, personaly slams another member or is dangerous. Youd think if anything right now theyd take the blinders off and realize that if we dont mix politics with guns were going down the tube real fast. Ive shook my head at that joker before. If he says the sky is grean youd better be one of his little worshipers and not call it blue or your post is locked. Hes allways had a pretty high opinion of himself. As to slamming california i do it myself. I sure not beyond slamming my own state of michingan which has lots of yuppys and some pretty stupid gun laws itself. Some guys make me chuckle with there devotion to there state. Some like most texans put it about devotion to even there country or faith. God, Family and country first for me Michigan is way down on the top 10 list. I dont feel so bad though sharron as someone who is as nice and level headed as you can get banned so i guess an opinionated old sob like me probably should have long ago.

It is mind boggling how short sighted and egotistical some can be even though they wish to occupy the same circles as the rest of us. To restrict someone from trying to show others another way to get out a positive word shows ones true colors. As with all forums or other gathering places for that matter, you're going to meet up with a certain amount demigods, no-it-alls, and otherwise self proclaimed experts. It doesn't take long for most of us to sort out who is who. Problem is, when one of these experts gets even an inkling of authority they can't help but abuse it. I just shake my ead at their stupidity and walk away any more. There's just too many of them nowadays.

Been a while since I was banned from a forum but as I remember it, it was their loss.

Far too many whacks over at the firingline for me. They did you a favor. I got banned from 1911.org because I posted a question about a Colt Double Eagle in the Colt/1911 forum. But in spite of their efforts, I found the info I needed and haven't had the need for their "group" ever again.
Just stay here Lloyd, we'll give ya all the abuse you can handle and not ban ya.

Lloyd. I was a Michigander for about 22 years. Yes they have some goofy laws. I was the liason to police, ICE, NG, Customs, sherrifs dept for 18 years at my gun club in St. Clair Co. I know what you are talking about.

our wonderful (republican) govenor just signed a veto to the legislation that would allow ccw carry in schools and churches. Bowing to the pressure and selling out our constitutional rights. In two weeks he signed the right to work bill which will go along ways toward destroying whats left of the middle class and now started chipping away at our gun laws. they will have us all where they want us real soon!!!

Lloyd, that's why I am moving to Indiana. Tired of all those snow birds flying down to tell us Southerners what we're doing wrong while they expect us to wait on them hand and foot. LOL
Seriously, my wife and I are buying a house in Madison, IN and can't wait to settle in. We have met some of the nicest folks. I have lived most of my life in the South and I sure as h*ll don't want to retire here. Its not called the South any more. It is called South of the Border. Even in the rural South, there are more gangs and gang violence than I've ever seen.
Getting backed to the topic, I've replied to Spanky's post "No More." It amazes me why people on forums take things so personal. If one doesn't agree then discuss the differences, don't personally attack the poster. All it shows is ignorance and immaturity.

I guess we all have to be banned from one site. I'm banned from one myself. I find it funny when they send me their monthly site updates and info emails. You would think that if I'm banned from their site, they'd stop sending me their crap.

My ex in-laws had a lovely cabin on the outskirts of Lewiston in the northern LP. We had many a lovely (20+) deer camp and Thanksgiving there. That part I truly miss. My ex father-in-law took me bear hunting at a group owned small lodge on 160 acres near Pine Stump Junction. Proceed west past PSJ, turn right (north) at the first dirt road. Turn Left into the first driveway. You have arrived at Jeager something. Supposed to mean 'hunters home' in german but it doesn't. Family no longer owns any part of it.

As a moderator at GBO it is my opinion if you do not have a 30-06 you should be banned until such time as you buy a 30-06.

By the way you didn't specify action type on your precious .30-06. Or brand. OK, I have a Model 700 and a Model 740, both in .30-06. Can I stay, huh? Just kidding, but that is how some meaningful discussions wind up.

I had a custom built Sako in .30-06. It was built to my specifications. I gave it to my Son-in-Law as a wedding present. That left me without a .30-06. I do however have a Remington 600 in .308W. It belonged to an uncle.

I decided to restrict my rifle ammo to current Nato choices. May I stay please?

If we survive the obamanation I will get another .30-06 as my all around big game rifle.

I once had a 760 carbine in 06. I would prefer to be banned as to have to shoot that thing again.

I suppose for the sake of argument the Garand should keep me in the mix though.

Well me being the opened minded moderator I am, I will give some concessions.....

Any cartridge based on the 30-06..... that shoots a .308 projectile and a 68grn casing capacity and used in the M1903, M1917 and the M1 Garand is perfectly allowable! See how open I am to suggestions??

I'm sure that .270 works great for woodchucks though!!!

I learned to say "oh shucky darn" from the RN teaching my Advanced Cardiac Life Saving class. That is the one where you learn how to use the paddles. In reality they don't move when they are shocked.

Anyway, during one CODE BLUE, she was cussing up a storm. The patient was saved. When she came in his room later, when he heard her voice he said, "you have a dirty mouth". Even while dieing he heard her. From then on she figured every patient could hear her. It helped her clean up her everyday speech too.

So, from then on I have 'tried' to use "oh shucky darn" when expressing displeasure.
