Liberals have always relied heavily on physical violence to achieve political gains.
During the 1960's, domestic terrorism was employed against US citizens as blacks rioted, burned and looted American cities every summer in order to achieve the passage of "civil rights laws" and massive welfare programs that gave blacks protected status and relegated whites to second class citizenship.
Later in 1992, "black leaders" and the liberal media blamed "whites" for the Los Angeles Riots that resulted in burning, looting and violence against white people by protected minorities who were allowed to loot while cops stood by and watched. (Local TV showed newsreel footage of cops standing by with folded arms while looters went in and out of stores.)
The gay marriage movement relies on violence and intimidation against supporters of traditional marriage.
Conservative speakers on college campuses are regularly targeted by liberals for physical violence and harassment.
Harry Belefonte recently called for Obama to act like a 3d world dictator and to put Republicans in prison.
Actor Alec Baldwin and others during the 1990's called for Clinton detractors and their families to be dragged out of their homes and "stoned" to death.
The latest calls for murdering conservatives are only the latest, not the first and certainly not the last. Moreover, our president has unilaterally proclaimed and exercised his right to order the deaths of American citizens who he has determined are "terrorists.' This is a death sentence without charges, trial, right to jury or anything else. Even Abraham Lincoln never claimed the right to have people killed without trial, but only to be arrested and imprisoned without trial!
We need privately held guns more than ever.
