i don't know the intent of the original
post, but i'll say here and now that our
gun rights don't have doodley spit to
do with suitability for sporting use.
a law abiding citizen should be able
to purchase, unfettered by political
correctness or handwringing any style
of firearm they wish as long as they
can afford to pay for it. we need to
get off the pot and go ahead and
admit that there are bad people that
do bad things in this world and how
much donald trump has in the bank
or if charley manson's mother was a
whore or not doesn't make somebody
do bad things.
people choose to do wrong and drive
drunk and murder their pregnant girlfriend
or not not take their medication because
they don't feel like it.
i usually hunt with a bow or sidelock
muzzleloader or h&r, but if i want to
use an ak i don't need anyone to preach
to me how evil it is. i can't help
but think we'll see these bozos on
the news "demonstrating" how lethal
and evil an ak47 is, and how mundane
and "civilized" a rem700 is.
does anyone remember back (in the 90's
klinton era i think) these bozos from the
nra making the "assault weapon" vs.
bolt-action-sporter demonstration on
the national news then proclaiming that
"nobody has a legitimate sporting need for
these destructive weapons-we agree they
should be taken away"?
if i see that friday on the "great nra plan
revelation day" on the news i may puke.
then again, after the u.s.a. put the great
deliverer back in the white house, i shouldn't
be surprised at anything that happens.
