i guess i still don't understand
what's going on.
my understanding was this man
was an active duty soldier when
he committed his crime, and that
this was to be a military trial.
if that is the case, i guess it's
good that i'm not in charge of the
deal. he'd be shaved if i had to
tranquilizer dart him or send a squad
of m.p.'s in to restrain him, and he'd
be properly dressed in uniform, shoes
shined, clean-shaven, and standing
at attention before the court on the
appointed day at the appointed hour
to the minute.
public opinion shouldn't have any bearing
whatsoever on a trial like this.
