Yes, TC's black synthetics are the only way to go IMHO. I paint them camo if I want camo. They are nearly indestructable and lighter than the wood stocks as well. I know they have been offered in various factory camo patterns through the years but I can't bring myself to pay the $20 to $30 premium for a camo pattern that will be discontinued in a year or two anyway. By doing my own camo my stuff all looks the same regardless of when I purchased it. I guess I'm just a cheapskate.
