Investors brace for triple digit drops today - IMHO
« on: December 21, 2012, 03:40:48 AM »
Because the GOP has been held hostage by far right , we can all thank them for what I anticipate as a triple digit drop in stocks today, If your heavily invested the GOP has just handed you a lump of coal in your stocking. cant wait to see DJI close at end of day. expect a loss of thousands across the board in your portfolios.

Boehner has lost control. (I personally think Cantor tanked him on purpose cause he wants his job). As of this AM The business community is now more in line with the DEMS. GOP has now lost this debate on all fronts as we approach fiscal slide. Latest polls are citing GOP has become too extreme (tell me something I didn't know! that's why I turned away from them and left the party )

These New GOP tea party whack job types need to take a civics class and learn what it means to govern . dysfunctional idiots the whole lot of 'em.

Billy Get outta there! Come about! Let it- let it carry you out of there! What the hell are you doing? Billy! For !@#$% sake! You're steaming into a bomb! Turn around for !@#$% sake! Billy, can ya hear me? You're headed right for the middle of the monster! Billy?... Oh, my God!

 - Linda Greenlaw - Captain of the Hannah Boden

Flame away all you want , but if you think the GOP we grew up with and trusted is not now too extreme and has not now been been hijacked by incompetent whack jobs, well I want some of whatever your smokin.

Dems will not name any spending cuts, except the cut to COLA.  which hurts the old people who will have to pull their belt a notch tighter.
you can't blame that on republicans.

Bug , you have no leg to defend . The blame is placed squarely on the sholders of a fractured GOP house and no others.
The normal GOP is warring with far right idiot whack jobs who call themselves republicans but are just obstructionists who have no sense of what governance means.

Whoohoo DJI HAS ALREADY FALLEN -116.88 (-0.88%) in just first hour. Enjoy the slide

Your man hussein has cut COLA, and robbed $716 billion from medicare.
please tell me how that is going to help the elderly in this country.

the idiot-in-chief says he's concerned about them, but he's just the typical liberal thief who has obama care which cuts several medical procedures for the elderly, particularly heart procedures and joint replacements.

I thank God there is at least a little obstruction to keep Obama from spending us into oblivion. In my opinion the "whack jobs" are doing exactly what the voters sent them to Washington to do. I could care less about the GOP. All I'm worried about is the mess our kids will inherit. Maybe the stock market dipping a few hundred points is a lot better than watching the whole house of cards crash and burn.

I refuse to get off track in this tread but will comment on this only once (actually once again) to help you get your facts straight .

$716 billion -- refers to Obamacare’s reductions in Medicare spending over 10 years, primarily paid to insurers and hospitals.
He did not rob 716 billion .

They eliminated waste and incentive payouts to INS companies.
 Ryan wanted to do the same but wanted to give 716 to the private INS companies.
Fact check it for yourself then post it in another thread.

The far right wing of GOP is going to take the whole GOP brand down with it by 2014.

“Fiscal Cliff” put in a much better perspective.
Lesson # 1:
* U.S. Tax revenue: $2,170,000,000,000
* Fed budget: $3,820,000,000,000
* New debt: $ 1,650,000,000,000
* National debt: $14,271,000,000,000
* Recent budget cuts: $ 38,500,000,000

Let’s now remove 8 zeros and pretend it’s a household budget:
* Annual family income: $21,700
* Money the family spent: $38,200
* New debt on the credit card: $16,500
* Outstanding balance on the credit card: $142,710
* Total budget cuts so far: $38.50

Got It ??? ……. OK, now…

Lesson # 2:
Here’s another way to look at the Debt Ceiling:

Let’s say, You come home from work and find there has been a sewer backup in your neighborhood and your home has sewage all the way up to your ceilings.
What do you think you should do? Raise the ceilings or remove the excreta?

Oh, there is a way out. It involves putting a machete to government spending, something that will entail much short pain and in turn, the politicians losing their jobs. Which is exactly why they will never do it and pretty soon we will be toast. The bond markets will determine the timing of the latter event, when the first big holder loses hope of ever being repaid and dumps.

Every dollar spent by the government is a dollar that cannot be used in the private economy for investment in machinery and labor. Every dollar borrowed is a future dollar excluded from capital expansion. Every dollar printed is a transfer of wealth from the private economy to the government and it's cronies thus cannot spur growth, but only takes away long term.

The "Fiscal Cliff" is an ant hill compared to the future cliff. To avert it now is to escape a little pain in the present at the expense of exacerbating the big pain to come.

Raising taxes is a drag on the economy because it is a dollar taken away from the economy.
Cutting spending improves the economy because it is a dollar left in the economy.

We're right on track as far a Obama's fiscal plan goes. He knows it, and so does his handlers, Soros and the rest. They want to colapse the economy, pick up the piece's, and make billions. Doing a darn good job of it to. See ya at the bottom of the slide. gypsyman
