About Adam Lansa?

I have heard so much information that has been debunked I am not sure what is true anymore. Seems our extremely poorly informed media is slushing the facts (on purpose). So what weapons did Lansa use? Was there an "assault" rifle used? What mental problems did he suffer from? Any idea why he did this or was he that crazy?
