Good luck on that one bigfoot. I was stopped by a friendly Illinois trooper about 10 years ago, (not that easy to find), for a Level II DOT inspection. He found no problems, but suggested I remove the NRA decal from the vent window of my truck, as many there considered it PC to search for weapons. Although I was en-route to Chicago, I was only about 80 miles outside of St. Louis.
I see the gang shooting problem in Chicago as a lack of munitions problem. Give them as much as they need, and allow themselves to eradicate themselves. Everyone else just get out of the way, and let them have at it. It is beyond control save martial law, which I consider worse.
Chicago politics will rule the day, as will D.C. politics nationally, and you and I, are helplessly disgusted bystanders, destined to watch something out of control, become more so.
