Heard  a   gun  salesman  say  that  Feinstein  should   get  a   salesman  of  the  year  award  , for  bringing  up  the  gun  ban  issue.

Let's say I've got 10 years of hunting left in my lifetime and I'm being optimistic here. Nova Scotia has in most parts of the Province a One Deer Bag limit.
 
I have 5 CF rifles I could use to hunt with.
Let us figure each rifle would require 20 rounds of ammo to sight in and actually shoot a deer. In reality that is also more than what is required.
 
 I would need a total of 100 rounds of ammo per year if I have to do this to every rifle I own. So far I've managed 4 deer within 5 years. Using a different rifle each time.
 
It would appear that the largest portion of bullets, primers and powder in my possession are surplus and that is not counting brass and bullets for a caliber/cartridge I no longer have use for.

I don't think the people are thinking about deer hunting when they buy a large amount of ammo.

I shoot far more than 20 to sight in.  I fiddle with the range, scope variables, and somethims shoot just for the fun of seeing what I can do. 


When the shtf, one old man with a single shot rifle will probably last until the gun is empty.  That does not mean that others should not have the means to do whatever they think is necessary if the time comes.


I still enjoy reloading so will have to watch the primers, powder, and bullets.  These things have just recently come into decent supply, if not pricing.
