Came across this build and thought I would invite him here......
« on: December 27, 2012, 05:35:03 PM »
A fellow used a peice of propeller shafting to build this little cannon.......

I complimented him on his work and then cautioned him on his choice of materials due to the nature of toruqe a propeller shaft goes through it can have micro cracking through out... not my first (or last) choice for a cannon build... also I cautioned him on the thickness of his gun in relation to bore size,  I left links to this forum and suggested he look at our stickies on building standards....  hopefully he'll stop by and introduce himself.....

Mr president I do not cling to either my gun or my Bible.... my gun is holstered on my side so I may carry my Bible and quote from it!

It's a nice looking project but I stopped reading when the text describes installing trunions as drilling through the barrel.
