Is $400 a good price on a used Ruger redhawk 44 mag-5.5 inch barrel, rubber hogue mono grip and aBauer holster??

Yes - paid $375 for mine - individual said he could not handle the recoil - I bought it, then asked him if he knew he could plink with 44 specials - he said no. :eek:

All you need is a good trigger / action job and that revolver will last forever.

I paid $500 for a new one 7 1/2" barrel.Its a nice shooting pistola!

I don't know if it is a good price in Texas, but here in expensive CA, that is what I paid a year ago for an early 80's Redhawk in excellent condition.  As  I remember, it had trigger work done and the previous owner was dead.  I had many misfires due to a too light hammer spring.  I sent it back to Ruger for a checkup.  They replaced the springs with original strength ones, replaced the pawl, cleaned the forcing cone, and reset the cylinder gap.  No Charge, not even return postage :lol:  Shoots great now and is dead reliable.
Even a turtle has to stick its neck out to get ahead.
