dog town bullets from Midway?

any of you tried them?i get good accuracy out of Nosler 55gr BT bullets and just wondered how these bullets shoot.the price is about half the price of the BTs.thinking about trying the 55gr dog town.by the way this is for a 223.

ps:who is making them for Midway?

No way to tell unless you try some. I have good quality rifles that wont shoot some of the premium bullet for squat but shoot a cheaper SP just fine. I'm guessing that these dog town bullets are a bulk Remington or winchester bullet. But I havn't seen them to compare them.   KN

I believe I read somewhere they are made by hornaday.(?)Be careful to compare price as there are alot more bullets out there that are cheaper than dogtown.(dogtown = good marketing skills)

example: 55 grn fb sp spitzer dogtown> $7.92/100

verses > 55 grn sp w/wo canlr,se> $7.45/100

 for me these both group under a 1/2"  and kill as effectly out of my rifle.

  compared to nosler they do save you money,but is it comparing apples to oranges<

i was thinking that they were hornaday too.i think i will try some hornadays first because i can get them here local.

I use the Midway and the Cabela's brands quite a bit.  They're not as accurate as a V-Max in my rifles but they'll shoot good enough for the price difference.  I like them.
