2013 Ruger No 1 Product Line kinda slim

Glad I already have my 30-06 and 22-250 No.1's.
They don't offer those calibers in a No 1 this year.
The website shows the traditional models (B is still absent) but each is offered in only a single caliber.
No 30-06, 270, 243 offered.
Says they will offer the calibers shown for a year, then offer something different next year.
45/70 is still there.

I always thought their offering was too broad, but they went in an extreme direction with this offering.
I suppose it makes mine more valuable, because who knows when they will offer them again.
But their value would only be important if I were trying to sell them, which I am not.

I will have to treat my #1B 30-06 with more respect...kidding It leads a pampered life, fed nothing but carefully assembled handloads.

Ever since I was a little kid, the Ruger No. 1 B in .30-'06 was my "Holy Grail" rifle.  I mentioned on another thread that my dad recently "re-gifted" me with the No.1 B in .30-'06 that I gave to him back in 1989.  I am very grateful to him for doing that, but especially now.
One of the first things I did when I got home from Christmas in California with my parents was to look on Ruger's website for the list price of No.1 B's.   None were listed.  Then, a couple of days ago, I logged on to Ruger's site again and took a second look at the No.1's listed and found what Pow Pow did....   What models reamin on offer are only offered in ONE caliber....
Fundamentally, I suppose I shouldn't care, since I've now got the No. 1 I've always wanted.  But there is some measure of comfort in knowing that if something tragic were to happen to the one I've got, that I could secure a new replacement for it, at least in theory.  Instead, it kind of looks to me like "No William B." Ruger plans on dropping the model.  I'm not expecting to see any cataloged next year.
That's a shame because they're fun to shoot. And ever since I was seven years old, I've thought that the No. 1 was the most stylish mass-produced rifle on the market.  Thirty-one years later, I still think it is the epitomy of class and style in a production sporting rifle.
I kinda wish more people felt the same way about the thing that I do, but in reality, I'm surprised that they still make them at all.

Not so sure. Looks like they are trying to increase their value. Four years ago I paid $990 for my 30-06 RSI, a little discount off list price,with a 6 week wait. Now they list for $1400, and I'll bet they go for MSRP, with a long lead time. They announced they have stopped taking orders because of backlog.

Remember when you could get a Win '94 for less than $200 at Walmart? Now look at what they go for.
The No.1 will probably go the same way.

Thought about selling my 1-V 22-250 and getting a more practical lighter synthetic bolt 22-250 gun for coyotes.
Maybe I will just hang on to it.

Ive got a 1s4570 a 1b 2506 and a 1a 257 roberts. Only two others id like to have is a 1s in 300 h&h and a international in 757. Ive had many more through the years but would never part with these 3.

I bet it does!  I think that the .264 Win. Mag. and No. 1 rifle ought to compliment each other very well, indeed.

Yes, I had a less than desirable Number 1 experience years ago, but was told by many that the new 1's with the Ruger made tubes were better & they are.

guess thats another one that id love to own. the 264 mag has become probably my favorite long range deer hunting round.

Ive had a couple #1s that didnt shoot but i tell people all the time that percentage wize ive had more poor shooting 77s then poor shooting #1s.
