As to this oft repeated gum flapping from the left about the "Red States taking more funds", you might want to look into the actual facts of why that might be.
 
 
1.  The main reason is that the population is older in the red states, which means red-staters receive Social Security and Medicare (which they paid into when they were working), which make up the majority of the federal budget.

2.  More defense bases are in red states than in blue states. But, the military protects all of us (including the blue stater's).

3.  Most of the interstate highways are in the red states (which only makes sense, since they were developed to service the military needs).
 
 
I just wonder if the blue stater's will use Social Security and Medicare when they retire (probably to a red state), or if these benefit from the military (same as the red state people), or if they travel the nation's interstate highways?
