For instance, let's take a look at liberal Chuckie Schumer on "gun control'..

 • Enforce gun laws on national security grounds. (Dec 2003)
 • Renew assault weapons ban - no legitimate use for them. (Nov 2003)

 • Voted YES on background checks at gun shows. (May 1999)
 • Voted NO on more penalties for gun & drug violations. (May 1999)
 • Voted NO on loosening license & background checks at gun shows. (May 1999)
 • Close the Gun Show Loophole; restrict show sales. (May 2009)
 • ''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''''
 •    Notice "liberal logic" at work!  He wants gun manufacturers sued & punished when some criminal misuses a gun;
 •   ...but doesn't want any more punishment for drug dealer criminals who use guns... :o :P

Republican party is the Jew party.
Study after study has shown how dangerous distracted driving is yet people continue to talk on their cell phones while driving. Driving in the U.S. requires your full attention. Many states and countries have made it illegal to use a cell phone while operating a motor vehicle and the federal government should follow their lead. Banning the use of cell phones while driving would have the added benefit of making the no-texting law enforceable.

scootrd, the only thing funnier would have been if the democrats appointed Nancy Pelosi as speaker of the house.  Oh, wait, they did do that.  Say what you want about Bachmann, but at least she's not as batsh*t crazy or downright stupid as Pelosi.

Funny all of the Bachmann Bashers still refuse to acknowledge the above fact! And when the voters ripped the gavel out of her wretched fingers by denying democrat majority in the house didnt those super smart democrats vote her in as house minority leader? Or do you all think that Pelosi is an intelligent and well balanced lady?
Hi NSA! Can you see how many fingers I am holding up?

She is the heart and soul of the Democratic party, the standard bearer, she is the representation of what they hold dear, the one who can best represent them to the country at large.

Think about that for a while.

Lakota ,
This thread is not discussing Pelosi.

It is discussing the GOP's inept appointment of Bauchmann (whose not the sharpest knife in the GOP drawer) to Intel Cmte and having access to our countries most sensitive documents.  GOP could have done so so much better.

As to this oft repeated gum flapping from the left about the "Red States taking more funds", you might want to look into the actual facts of why that might be.

1.  The main reason is that the population is older in the red states, which means red-staters receive Social Security and Medicare (which they paid into when they were working), which make up the majority of the federal budget.

2.  More defense bases are in red states than in blue states. But, the military protects all of us (including the blue stater's).

3.  Most of the interstate highways are in the red states (which only makes sense, since they were developed to service the military needs).

I just wonder if the blue stater's will use Social Security and Medicare when they retire (probably to a red state), or if these benefit from the military (same as the red state people), or if they travel the nation's interstate highways?    :o

What was it Grover Norquist said ?? AH YES  -

We are not auditioning for fearless leader. We don't need a president to tell us in what direction to go.
We just need a president to sign this stuff. Pick a Republican with enough working digits to handle a pen
to become president of the United States.

Yep She definitely would have fit the requirement !!!!

scootrd, the hilarious thing is the democrats that reelected obama.  Things have continued to get worse and worse under his "leadership" (sorry, even in quotes that made me throw up a little in my mouth), and yet the democrat voter still voted for him.  INSANE.  And then these same mental giants have the b*lls to cast aspersions against the intellect of Republican congressmen.  It would make me laugh if it didn't make me sick.

Some would argue the sky is green if someone with an opposing view said it was blue.
Some are so entrenched in their own ideologies they cannot see beyond their nose , even
when one of their own is a dingbat.

Shes has no business being on intel cmte. GOP could have done so so much better.

At first I thought you were talkin about Pelosi here...had to reread everything....OK...I get it now.  ;)
The entire White House, staff, and a good share of Congress are chuck full of dingbats and idiots...how in the world can you be so fixated on Bachmann at a time like this?  ::) Why in the world does it matter now? Talk about nit pickin...gee whizz.
Personally I like Bachmann a lot more than Pelosi....I mean really...were you worried about Pelosi when she was on the intelligence committee? C,mon guys...get real...sounds like a step up to me.  Most other people would agree, heck, most Democrats would agree...they just don't like to admit it, but Pelosi was embarrassing...and still is.

You just needed a good reminder on how low you have sunk and something to compare to, always glad to help out a couple of lost souls.

I hear you lefties calling Michelle names and saying YOU don't approve of her..but you have yet to demonstrate real instances..
  such as;
Pelosi's... "You have to pass it so you can find out whats in it!"
To make matters worse she found hundreds of Democ-rat stooges who did just what she said!

  Then there was B Hussein Obama speaking on memorial day;
"On this Memorial Day, as our nation honors its unbroken line of fallen heroes, and I see many of them in the audience here today."

......... Have we heard  Michelle  Bachmann say such stupid statements as that?

Yeah, geez pouncing on Bachmann while there are idiots like Obama, Biden, Pelosi, running the country, and Wasserman Schultz who was astonished that the republicans believe that illegal immigration is illegal. I guess when the democrat party is chock full of idiots, someone other than a democrat needs to be portrayed as unintelligent to make them appear like they are stable.

Disagree. If we are going to discuss one party's inept appointment of a female to a high post in the house it is only fair to bring up the other party's inept appointment of an insane female to a high post.

Michelle is a very intelligent articulate person. I have sat and personally talked with her. Please explain besides personal differences of opinion with her, what makes her unqualified for her position?

While we are talking about campaign funding, here is a question I have been harboring for some time..so I'll ask now..

Suppose a president comes into office and uses billions upon billions of US taxpayers' money to buy out an auto company..then he gives $23 billion to the union..
   http://www.heritage.org/research/reports/2012/06/auto-bailout-or-uaw-bailout-taxpayer-losses-came-from-subsidizing-union-compensation

Then the unions give millions upon millions of dollars back to him for his election campaigns.. Is that called "money laundering" ?

...And what is it called when many small investors have lost much of their life savings due to the union giveaways ?
If you don't want the truth, don't ask me.  If you want something sugar coated...go eat a donut !  (anon)

Probably the exact same thing it's called with regards to Supreme Court Citizens United ruling.

Probably the exact same thing it is called when our bailout monies giveaways to the financial sector that were then used to fund company Junkets and bonuses while shareholders got screwed.

Probably same thing it is called when companies like hostess award bad behavior for driving the company into the ground by giving execs huge bonuses and golden parachutes while in bankruptcy all the while robbing employee pensions.

Probably the same thing its called when AIG actually threatens to sue American people after we pulled their company up from the Ashes.

Probably the same thing it is called when the average senior citizen who earns approx $1,230.00 a month on social security (14,760 a year) is asked to give more so top 2% can keep their tax breaks.

Attractive, articulate, and Republican. What more do the haters need? Amy would qualify as she is homely, obtuse, and Democrat.

I'm afraid to say it here, but I always like Michele.  I wish she had stayed in the race.  So much prettier than Obama.  And yes, the pic is fake and in bad taste.  Let's not post such stuff as that.
