Weaver Classic v-16??
« on: February 15, 2004, 02:35:47 AM »
How are these scopes?  I never had much experience with Weaver scopes until recently.  I "came into" a 4x pistol scope that I put on a Ruger .480 and was so impressed I went out and bought a 2x8 pistol scope for my 30-06 encore handgun.  The pistol scopes are marketed as the classic line, but how are the classic rifle scopes?  Are they as clear and crisp as the pistol scopes? Thanks.

Stratocaster :  I for one like the older weaver scopes I am always looking for them at gunshows, as far as the clarity goes I believe you can get bertter but at a higher cost, the ones I get are usually for a specific rifle to have it look like it would have in its time frame. :D    JIM

The V-16 is a FINE scope.  I have two and I think they are one of, if not THE best scope in their price range.  DO shop for price though.  Try:
bearbasin.com and natchezss.com to name a few.

I agree, the Weaver Classic 4-16's are a great buy and do not get the recognition that they deserve.  Oh, how about checking out some of the sponsors instead?
