Wheres all the bow shooters?????
« on: February 15, 2004, 05:08:52 AM »
Man, this forum has almost dried up. Where'd everyone go?
I know someone has bought new gear or bows to talk about. I have a new Darton Rampage that I am outfitting now. I have the Drop Tine Bisquit, Toxonics Sniper Pendulum,  Kwiki kwiver (which I dont like), Limbsaver string silencers, and a Trankuillizer stabilizer on it. Big problem is that I cant even shoot it yet. I had surgery on my right elbow and the doc said no bows till March 12. I have wached my son shoot it a few times and he said it was very smooth. I bought him a PSE Fireflight that we havent gotten set up yet.
I know others have new gear to talk about.

I know how you feel I dislocated my left shoulder last Oct. during blackpowder season. It still hurts to draw my bow. To add insult to injury
(punn intended), I have to take clients out and hear them talk about how much fun bow hunting is and how good there bow is shooting. We even have the techna-hunt archery system at work. It's like putting a piece of cake in front of a kid and saying it's not for you. The ranch owner is going brown bear hunting in May. He got the pending world record Kudu last year with his bow. I can shoot a little but not for more than a dozen arrows or more. I backed my bow off and I'm going to try for a feral hog next week if I get some free time at the ranch.

I've seen more then one bowhunter using a bite strap to pull their bow. They got their venison too. Good luck hunting!
