Upside down American Flag:
« on: January 15, 2013, 06:06:46 PM »
A thought crossed my mind, that national displeasure, for those it applies too, could be shown by a day or more of displaying the American flag upside down,  as a symbol of the countries distress. If it caught on, literally millions of bumperstickers and flags hung in the distress position would surely be a peaceful yet noted outcry of public discontent. However, as I googled and read further of the past history of flying the flag upside down, it seemed there is lots of folks who get really ticked off about it, to the point of bitchin and lawsuits anyway. As there may be good reason.,Just curious what you vets and other folk know of this and what your thoughts are concerning the subject.  Thanks,  j

I've decided to just not fly mine until freedom is rescued.  or if battles are fought.

I understand your feelings JohnnyReb, however, in this circumstance, it would be dissrespectful to do so.

Guess it would depend on how you define "...extreme danger to life and property".

Our Government is pushing hard to take away our means of defending our lives and maybe even working hard on confiscating our personal property.
