Quality deer hunting rain gear.

I have been searching the net for some good quality raingear for deer hunting and everything I find has some negative reviews. Either they leak or ar easily torn ect. I would like to hear from some members here the pros and cons of what they use and any recommendations for some brand that actually works and is of good quality. Oh and comes in a size 3XL. Thanks.

i've not bought any quality raingear per se.
what i've seen is out of my pricerange, and
when i looked at some of it, it was way
too heavy for this climate. i'v been using
the cabela's packable coated nylon in
green (i think they called it spruce) and
it's held up pretty good so far. of course,
i haven't been out brush busting in it,
but there's not a whole lot of more
expensive rain gear that will hold up to
that kind of treatment anyway without
being overly heavy.
(and mine has that many x's too- choice
starts gettin' limited don't it )

I take my normal hunting gear and spray it with a water repellant if I know it will be wet.  Good ole garbage bags if I get surprised by a down pour.  I don't want it to make too much noise if it gets hit by a drop of rain.

I like a poncho Down South. You can dress warm under it and hold your gun under it to help keep it dry. Bows don't fit easily. The only one that I found on the net was at the link below. It is Nylon, rip stop, It is quiet. Won't rot or get hard and brittle quickly, noisy. It will cut or burn easily, be careful with it. Doesn't take up much room.  Camo patterns limited but patterns don't matter much in the rain anyway. I don't climb anymore. Lying on the ground is a stand option that is usefull and the poncho serves as a moisture barrier. ear
