here is a link to Her code of ethics. This will clear up any questions or missconceptions concerning respect for Her and how/when to fly Her. As you read thru this you will see just how disrespected She really is by society and businesses today. Including our Military, who above all people should know better.( please don't take me wrong on that issue. We are a Military family, myself and 4 sons, and i have the highest respect for them )

And, NO, because you are a Veteran does not mean that you've "earned the right " to do what you want with Her.

The link said I needed "adobe acrobat plugin"  I'll have to remain ignorant.

Most people just want to fly the flag proudly.  mine doesn't touch the ground, get rained on, and I never let the sun go down on it.
on inauguration day, it'll stay furled on it's staff behind the front door.

As stated in your document adherence is voluntary. I do not like to see Our Flag disrespected.
However if you really feel you need to burn, step on, roll on the ground with it etc it is covered by freedom of speech. The flag code is not a law but a suggestion. In my opinion if you choose to disrespect it you are telling the citizens of this great nation you don't think the sacrifices that brought about the nation, the bill of rights, our constitution or, the people who sacrificed all for the nation are not good enough. My hope before a person gets on their high horse and disrespects the flag is to ponder the framers and founders of the nation. Would they approve of your "revolution" or would they think you are being an idiot?
