Cut the deficit

How would a tax of say 10% on all political contributions work toward cutting the deficit ? It would be fair . Maybe a rule that all contributions not used for the election they were donated for would be turned over to the IRS for govt. use also.

And which politition would you trust at this point to report donations accurately? Maybe each one should be allowed the same amount of money? The money they spend on getting elected is staggering!

let them audit each other  ;D or just require all tax payers to note on their tax form how much they domated and to who.
and yes 10% of what they spend would be helpful paying national debt.

There is a flaw in this. The one's we talk about taxing are the one's that make the rules!

How about a 1% tax on each Wall Street transaction? That would siphon money that the taxpayers gave them back into the real economy.

They would pass it to us some how , but we would know it was comming .

How about just freezing all spending at the current level.  no new spending bills for anything.
I would gladly have my SS frozen.
freeze all prices.   and start cutting un-neccessary agencies.
our problems could be fixed if DC developed some brain matter.
