How could anybody think that having kids sing praises to a man who supports and promotes homosexuality, a sin, and murdering babies, another sin, could possibly be good for the children?? Only a sick, liberal  mind could think that. POWDERMAN.  >:( >:(

Quote from BUGEYE:

That is a hoot coming from someone that constantly displays his conservative, arrogant, elitist attitude. From one that does all he can at every opportunity to trash anyone with a thought more liberal then himself.
GuzziJohn
Not arrogant, elitist at all.  nearly every thing I say is either based on the constitution, or even more important, the Bible.
nearly everything that liberals say is a slap in the face of God, or the founding fathers.
look at what your hero hussein has done to this country and what he's trying to do now.
it's all against God and the constitution.
and yes, liberal thoughts are usually trash.

Jesus said we should treat other as we'd want to be treated... and he didn't qualify that by their party affiliation, race, or even if they're of diff religion.

I am going to use a parallel to show the ignorance and hypocrisy--and possibly the blindness of some.
We complain about gun freedom and complain about sexual freedom.
Folks a I am not a homo but I am also not a homophobe. These folks with screwy sexual orentation have been around forever---there is a place reserved for them.
You cannot outlaw homosexuality--you can't kill them because they are--you cannot stop them from marrying either (it is just words upon some paper which mean nothing)just like you can't outlaw nut cases from killing and it IS NOT a gun issue.
These are people issues folks an laws cannot prevent people issues.
Get off the queers and go on to something important. They have been doctors, teachers, OH, whatever U can name they have been IT.
I am tired of all this queer news---who cares.

Absolutely! I've never understood why people get so upset over who (or what!) somebody else is sleeping with.

That's not what disturbs a lot of people.  If an employer is forced by law to recognize a gay partner as a spouse and give that "spouse" benefits the same as the employee, it can go against that employers religion.  forcing it is unconstitutional under the first amendment.  so employers may drop any benefits to their employees to satisfy their religious beliefs.
What gays do is an abomination to God, and being forced to give benefits to a gay spouse is wrong.

obamas opinion of the constitution and common sense laws is well known.
the First and Second amendment especially, is apparently HATED by this God-less garbage in the whitehouse.

once again I apologize to Ironglow for chopping up his thread, so this is my last post in this thread.

I liked it better when they stayed in the closet instead of pushing their "lifestyle choice" on the rest of us.

Just about every prime time TV show has at least one queer on it if the whole show isn't centered around homos.  How many God fearing, morally upright, Christians are portrayed on TV?

How many special laws are on the books specifically protecting Christians from discrimination or hate crimes?   If a gay business owner fires a straight guy because he is straight are there any specific laws covering that?   If a group of gays beat a straight guy to a pulp is the punishment more severe than if it were the other way around?

I would not have such a problem with gays if they did not demand special treatment all the time.

How many gays have been beat or for that matter killed simply for being gay? Quite a few. How many heterosexuals have been beat or killed by a group of gays for being straight. If it does ever happen the gay group should be charged just the same including the hate crime thing under current law.

Question yourself.
Would you want your child to get a college education?
Doesn't sound like it from some of the discussion here.
XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX

Not at all, O.F..   The problem is finding a school which provides an education without indoctrination!.  Ther are some schools not shot through with socialism, they are few and far between but tyhey are excellent ones. Some of the Christian universities as well as Hillsboro, Grove City etc..
It is hard for a decent, non-leftist school to operate since unlike conservatives, leftists holding power insist that a college indoctrinate socialism or they don't recieve public funds.
Thus, schools such as Hillsboro , Grove City etc have had the stones to tell the government parasites where they can put their bribery money!
What we are discussing most in this forum are daily life, political and constitutional issues.  What makes a 10th grade music taecher any more qualified to debate the constitution than any one of us here?  What would make an 8th grade French teacher any more qualified to discuss social values than anyone on this forum?
I will defer to the music teacher on music or the French teacher on French...but I am at least as well qualified to debate with them on 2nd amendment rights and what our founding fathers were getting at in the Federalist papers..as they are likely to be .

Yes, I have a degree but I don't use it as a club..I will fairly debate anyone without mentioning the same.  I have a brother who has several degrees and has spent his life in academia and although he is very highly respected in his fields of endeavor, there are few subjects where he can toe-to-toe me on subjects unrelated to either of our fields.
He like many highly educated, makes the same mistake, thinking that outside of formal classes learning ends for most people.  Nothing could be further from the truth...I read and study various pursuits at least as much or more than he does.
Like one of the "good old boys" I  have coffee with each morning. He is a Doctor ..Doctor of veterinary medicine (Penn State & Cornell)..our discussions at the 'round-table' (actually, a long table), cover a voluminous number of  subjects.  I defer to him in anything in the medical and related fields..and I have taught him in sunjects of my familiarity and expertise, other guys construction, highway superintendant, a farmer, other times a Phd in psychiatry..each contributing..each learning;  ..nothing surprising about that.  We did have a mathematics prof., but he suddenly died about a year ago..Phil was a great guy, he is missed.

  BTW: Hillsdale college is so concerned wit our nation's direction..that they offer a free course on the constitution;
 http://constitution.hillsdale.edu/

Before you ask, Hillsdale is not just an "online college", but a well respected brick & mortar  institution..

Ironglow. I didn't post that to make anyone think I was talking to them. Just an observation of many of the post on this forum over the last few years. One minute they're trashing someone they know who has a degree for whatever reason, then they turn around and talk about someone they're proud of for getting a degree.

I think some people on here have a problem seeing it's the person not the degree or lack of degree.

I made a practice many years ago to never discount anyone. I believe it was Einstien who said "We're all both incredibly smart and stupid. But just in different ways."

IG, really good post.. I'll post on the OP
Isn't this the second time that someone tried to get kids singing some kind of praise for obama.
The OP kinda triggered a vague memory.

  Guzzi, just for your edification..
How many here are familiar withj the name ..Matthew Shepherd?

How many here are familiar with  Jesse Dirkhising?
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Murder_of_Jesse_Dirkhising

Jesse Dirkhising was a small boy who was kidnapped, raped and murdered by 2 "gay" adults..while further investigation seems to show that the unfortunate death of Matthew Shepherd was more likely a simple case of a couple thugs perpetrating a robbery, one of the killers a lover of Shepherd himself.
      http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=20120520011226AASx6rs

The media seems to have blown a case of robbery into leftist martyrdom...while the kidnapping, rape and murder of a child is virtually ignored by them.. So much for an "objective" media.

Frankly, I don't care if a queer wants to "sleep with" a roll of 80 grit sandpaper...but it is the kind of lying and distortion we see every day by liberals and liberal media... that stinks..

With my apologies to the OP, this thread seems to have deviated from the original topic somehow.

I don't understand the need for "hate crime"  laws.

Murder is murder, assault is assault regardless of who the victim is.   Why should the penalty for taking the life of a gay, a cop, a first responder, a Black or a Hispanic carry any more weight than the killing of anyone else?

Same goes for assault.  Why is it more heinous for whites to beat a black or vice-versa than it is for people of the same ethnicity to beat each other.  The end result is basically the same so why shouldn't the punishment be the same?

Same could be said about any act of discrimination in the work place.  Is being fired for being a Christian any less of a crime than being fired because your gay?   Aparently the gay community thinks so.  They want separate laws that cover just them.
