Very true Tubby! I've tried much of the "latest & greatest" to hit the market, and I too have settled on "older" caliber firearms as my choice. I also agree that the "older" firearms are indeed more "interesting" and in my case, I find myself enamored in their history.
For example, I deplored double action ANYTHING, from a practical standpoint, but lately I've been itching for an old Colt "Frontier" model since learning that is what "Doc" Holliday used to gun down quite a few people....haha. Who would have thought? We've got one at the shop that is nearly pristine, and after dry firing the heck out of it, I've gotta say that ole' "Doc" must have practiced quite a bit!!! *smiles*
