Are guns the problem
« on: January 17, 2013, 01:02:46 PM »
Walter Williams article on "Are Guns the problem". The very people that are wanting more gun laws, are the likes of the very people that created today's behavior.

i couldn't have said that any better.
you'll never see that in any newspaper,
or in a national "news" magazine.
it's way too sensible and concise.

The lack of people like Dr Williams in our schools and the political arena are a big part of the problem.Common sense is a rare bird today. We  know, or should know that law abiding citizens who own guns pose NO threat to others. Regardless of the number of guns they own, or the types of them.Just the opposite! The CRIMINALS we have been electing to guard our rights know this! They aren't stupid as some like to think. They are evil, greedy and want to rule and control. They love it when a crazy goes off the deep end and gives them an excuse to once again come after the innocent gun owner. These crazies have always been with us and will be.These terrible events will happen from time to time, and there is nothing we can do to prevent it. They know that people like the gun owner is the only thing standing in the way of total CONTROL.

Both the Republican and Democrat party leaders are the problem....................NOT the gun owners.

there was a robbery/assault about
2 miles from here earlier today.
it was all caught on surveillance
video. the crook got the cash, then
cut the guy on the throat, and nearly
beat him to nearly death with 2 hammers.
he still has not been caught, and the
police are looking for any help.

no firearms or "assault weapons"
or extended magazines were involved.

just a heart and mind full of evil and
a person who needs to be put down.

(i'd written the clerk was killed and he was not)

In more than 60 years none of them have ever caused and problem and there is not one bullet hole in the wall. I even have a few of the real Evil black semi auto, but they are even well behaved.  i think those polititions lie a lot.

no...guns are NOT the problem...

we, as a culture/society/nation, have a behavioral problem...

we have a "Legislative" problem...legislators that CREATE the existing problems by creating so !@#$%^ many ignorant laws.

we need to install elected officials who are willing to overhaul existing laws...get rid of MOST existing legislators and install ones who understand that they are a part of the solution, NOT CREATING more pandemonium!

Everything you say is true, but there is a lot of people out there who will vote for a conservative president and then vote for a liberal senator or representative for "balance" or vice-versa.
I don't see it getting any better.

I use a soothing voice whenever I am around my AR lest I piss it off. What if it takes a fit and kills an entire village before I can talk it down?

I woke up one night and thought I heard it and the SIGs scheming to knock over a gun shop and steal all the ammo they could carry. I asked them what they thought was in all the .50 cans lined up and they went back to sleep. I think.

I keep a SIG on me at all times so as it can't get any foolish ideas from the black rifle.

Not that simple! There are many reasons for the the sorry state the country is in. We (The people), all of us are to blame. Christians and non-Christians alike. We have created these Punks as you like to call them. We have allowed them to take away parental control, and given it to the Government. The feminist movement has pushed the father from the home, and women alone cannot raise a Man child. Takes a real (Man) to do that Most of these kids that go off the deep end are missing a strong father figure at home. The Government school has taken over as the roll model, and again, most schools are ran by Feminists.

We are the problem! Christian and Non-Christian alike!( We) have allowed this to happen.

HUNTER. Good post Sir, all true, and well said. A lot of what you said though still comes from growing up in a godless society.
There will always be evil, mentally disturbed people and no amt of laws or regulations can stop them from doing evil deeds. THere are some who should NEVER have access to a gun, the punk that killed all those kids was a prime example of that. Even his mother knew it but still evidently did not lock them up, they should not have been available to him.
He was still a punk, and I have ZERO tolerance for punks of any age. And you are right, WE have allowed all this to happen.
WE have allowed liberals to educate our children and make our laws. Liberal PC crappola has ruined America. In 1963 WE allowed God to be kicked out of America, the result is the moral bankruptcy we have today. Like you said, WE ALLOWED it to happen POWDERMAN.  :( :(

There was a time folks didn't have a whole lot like those of today now have. Of course most always wanted a better life if possible but they knew they would have to work to get it and were willing to. Now adays few are satisfied no matter what they have nor how much. Add to that that many think the world owes them more and then decide it's easier to take what you want than work for it. Throw in that crimes often go unpunished, or lightly punished at best, so those with weaker morals say, "Why not do what we want? Why not take what we want? What's realy stopping us?" If their victoms are too weak, for whatever reasons, to stop them then there will always continue to be criminals. Problem as I see it is our own Government is doing it's best to see to it that we are too weak to protect ourselve's in all levels of life.... moraly, religisously and physicly. Thank you Obama!

Ya know? If guns are the problem, and all guns kill people, I must have a whole cabinet and gun safe full of defective guns. Heck, a couple I've had for over 30 years and they only shoot what I point them at. Gee, imagine that!

Eric Pratt of the Gun Owners Of America went head to head with Andrea Mitchell on the issue of the so called assault weapons.

What a well thought out response to a Liberal, would be grabber of guns.
