Powderman ,
I have no issues with supporting Israel with Moral support , peace talks, ally necessities when country interests coincide etc. But I do not believe we need to be sending them billions $$$$. It's getting to the point of ridiculous. Just have them hoist an American flag and we will make them our 51st welfare state. It's one thing to extend a hand in friendship to a country , it's another to continuously support them with $$$.
I wonder how much $$$ we shell out to support these dependent areas as well. Puerto Rico, American Samoa, Virgin Islands, Baker Island, Guam, Howland Island, Jarvis Island, Johnston Atoll, Kingman Reef, Midway Islands, Navassa Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palmyra Atoll, Wake Island.

Why is it that all other countries that get US foreign aid, Have to buy American Products But Israel Doesn’t?
I have scratched my head and asked that question for years.
"I am for free commerce with all nations, political connection with none, and little or no diplomatic establishment. And I am not for linking ourselves by new treaties with the quarrels of Europe, entering that field of slaughter to preserve their balance, or joining in the confederacy of Kings to war against the principles of liberty." --Thomas Jefferson to Elbridge Gerry, 1799.
"We have a perfect horror at everything like connecting ourselves with the politics of Europe." --Thomas Jefferson to William Short, 1801.
Peace, commerce and honest friendship with all nations--entangling alliances with none, I deem the essential principles of our government, and consequently those which ought to shape its administration." --Thomas Jefferson: 1st Inaugural Address, 1801.
"We wish not to meddle with the internal affairs of any country, nor with the general affairs of Europe. Peace with all nations, and the right which that gives us with respect to all nations, are our object." --Thomas Jefferson to C. W. F. Dumas, 1793.
