Carbide dies are usually for straight-sided cases, not bottlenecked cases. Although some exist, they're expensive:

Ya you can get them , I don't see any real advantage to them as you still need to lube with these dies , the only advantage would be less wear and die replacement for a loader that loads 10,000 + rounds a year .

dillon dies only have a carbide expander. A typical pistol die has a carbide ring to size the straight walled case. A 223 is tapered and the entire inside of the die would need to be carbide. It would be very expensive and very fragile. rcbs x dies are not carbide. believe me if there were a true carbide 223 die that would hold up and wouldnt make me have to take a loan out to buy it, id have it sitting on the shelf right now.

At one time I was kind of interested to see if their bragging sales pitch was worth it, but seems I'm quite content with my standard dies, lubing and loading they way I have been.
I'm not going to war, they'll get me sooner or later but I'll be surounded with spent brass even without X-dies.

Are you sure?  Dillon says, "...223 and .308 die sets with a full-length carbide sizing die."  I've never bought them, so can't claim certainty one way or the other, but the price is certainly commensurate with a full-length carbide interior.

no im not absolutely sure but to do it the hold inside of the die would have to be a carbide insert. I saw it attempted with the 500 linebaugh which is a tapered case and it was just to fragile compared to a thick carbide ring that is used is a straight case. It would last about 2 or 300 rounds and crack. Im sure not saying it cant be done but another thing that makes me question it is dillon will tell you that you still need to use case lube. If it truely was carbide that sure shouldnt be the case. Another thing i will ask is that if its possible why isnt rcbs, redding and even lee doing it in every rifle caliber. Id surely buy some if they could be made to work and would gladdly shell out a couple hundred bucks for a set!!
