Valdez
The Prospector
This store has a little of everything. It is vastly superior to any other store in Valdez for hunting, fishing, camping and clothing. Guns are limited but they have a quanity of ammunition. Their mainstay is clothing for the out-of-doors. You should be able to find anything you would want for fishing or caming though.
They do cater to te season so if the silvers are in or the dipnetting open, they will have it.
Hook, Line and Sinker
Much smaller in size but more knowledgeable in fishing and hunting, they have a little of everything. Best place to hit early in the morning for ice and bait before heading out for salmon or halibut. More guns and reloading supplies than The Prospector but lacking in the quality of camping gear. For fishing they should have most anything you want.
South Central Hardware
About the same size of outdoor gear as the HLS but more boating supplies than the other two. A few guns, no reloading, economical camping gear. More of a general store of old so it offers some diversity the other don't have.
Hope this helps you guys when down this way. Don't look for archery supplies anythere though.
